We collect information about you when you make a donation to us, or when you sign-up for our mailing list. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number.
Information relating to usage of our website is collected using cookies. Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information.
Why do we need to collect and use your personal data?
We will only use personal data for any purpose for which it has been provided. If you choose to supply us with your personal information, we may use it:-
- To process your donation
- For internal record keeping
- To send you regular updates by email or post, if you opt in to this service
- To inform supporters of public meetings about the work of Savannah
Who might we share your information with?
This information will be held in complete confidence, and Savannah Education Trust will never sell, rent or trade this information to a third party for commercial purposes. The only exception to this is to enable us to process online payments as we will pass on your billing address details to our payment providers (CAF), as without doing this we would not be able to process your online payments. Please note that we do not collect or store any card payment details, nor do we ever have access to your payment card information.
How long do we keep hold of your information?
We will retain information on donors or supporters for a minimum period of 7 years since their last donation in order to comply with applicable regulations.
How can I access the information you hold about me?
As a data subject you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information please write to us using the contact details noted below. We have an obligation to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at the address below. We will promptly correct any information found to be inaccurate.
