Opened: 2010

Gberi School (pronounced ‘Berry’) is about three miles south west of the major market town of Lawra. It is approached through a particularly rough track which, in the wet season, snakes through long grass.

Like all of our schools, there is a borehole – and in Gberi, the community make a lot of use of the plentiful supply of clean water.

The school was opened in 2010, and was commissioned on the same day as Pavuu School. Beri Banguu, one of the children featured on the website, is a pupil here and lives with his family very close to the school.
